Instructor Credentials

My name is Randy White though I write under the pseudonym Trell Waindah. If you’d told me in my youth that I would be a writer or a teacher I would’ve said you were pulling my chain; yet here I am doing both. Life is funny…

For those concerned about paper statistics:

I hold an Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Systems. In the course of my time in the corporate world I attended many other classes in programming and product training; I also have three patents related to electronics and software. I have worked in every capacity of product development and support over thirty years in industry including training personnel and creating supportive product documentation.

For those more concerned about practical application and community involvement:

I have worked with both youth and adults in 4H, Boy Scouts, and local community theater both technical support and acting.

For over ten years I had an avocation as a clown involved with a local chapter of The Clowns of America performing in parades, fairs, and birthday parties as well as charity work and training youth and adults in basic to advanced clowning skills.

I grew up doing woodworking from a very young age with my father (who built the house we lived in), learning many facets of working with wood and some metalwork (my father was a machinist by trade). I took a job at a local Aubuchon Hardware store in high school learning many aspects of tools and supplies, as well as working as a team (today I still believe this is the best job I ever had). A couple years after I began working at the store I also began to dabble in many aspects of house repair and improvement.

Eventually I got my own home to maintain, improve, create a garden for our own vegetables, landscape, repair my cars and equipment, and other all around home support. I did most of the work myself but on occasion when I had to bring in professional help I would either work with them or observe and learn by asking questions. I consider myself a lifelong student and when I teach I often learn more by keeping up to date as well as learning new things from my students.
